About me!
This page is under construction as of January 21, 2011 – I am adding on throughout the day.
Thanks for checking out my blog! My name is Mary Henry-Zeek and I am a photographer based in Houston, TX.
2011 marks the ten year anniversary of me photographing my first wedding professionally! I also do family, newborn, baby & children’s photography, and business headshots with a speciality in Realtor photos.
In 2008, I earned the title of CPP (Certified Professional Photographer). Less than 3% of professional photographers earn professional photographic certification. Currently, less than 15 photographers in Houston hold these credentials. Check out the website to learn more about how you qualify to be a CPP. I am really proud to have earned this credentials as it sets me apart from 97% of other photographers.
My style-well, think of my style as mix of sorts – classic traditional photography with a modern kick. My clients images are appearlingnot only by my clients, but their mother’s and grandmother’s as well. Everyone is happy!!
Mary is a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA) and regularly attends courses, workshops, and seminars held by nationally recognized and respected speakers.
About me, personally… I have been married for coming up on 4 years this July, with two children. I have a stepson who will be 13 in a few weeks, yikes!! My daughter, who is my greatest joy and accomplishment will be turning two just days from now.
Some fun facts about me…
I LOVE to sing in my car. Nope, I can’t sing at all actually, but I’d like to think I can.
I have a hard time turning down chips and salsa (yep, I am a born and raised Tex-Mex girl).
My all time favorite movie in the whole world is Dirty Dancing. Yes, I can recite the whole movie word by word as it is playing. Love it!
I love to travel and enjoy the outdoors. My favorite out of the places I have visited has been Colorado – where I have been several times – and even got married in Breckenridge on a moutaintop next to a waterfall. It was awesome!
I get asked all the time if I went to college for photography. Nope, I went graduated college with a nursing degree and have been an RN since December 1998. I am occasionally spotted down in the Texas Medical Center in my scrubs.
A word of warning…I don’t get around to blogging much, my clients keep me very busy and I strive to keep them happy, so less time for blogging.
Feel free to drop a line with questions or comments…I’d love to hear from you!
Hi
I wanted to know if you were available August 30th 2008 from 6-9 to shoot pre-ceremony and ceremony? Thanks!
